Project Description

Following a desire to continue lifelong learning, I enrolled at Georgia State University’s flexible dual masters program. I plan on graduating with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) in 2014. Georgia State University is ranked 17th in the nation for its part-time MBA program according to US News and World Report.

While enrolled in school, I am not satisfied only attending class. As a result, I joined two organizations: Georgia Business Association and Future Healthcare Executives. While I have maintained active member status for the Georgia Business Association, I applied and was elected by my classmates (both in my class and classes above me) to be one of the Chairmen in the Future Healthcare Executives organization. During my tenure, I organized a winter Toys for Tots collection event and also planned a Spring speaker event.

Evidence of my success in graduate school was proven when I was personally invited by the Director of our program  to participate in a small forum with members from the Commission on Accreditation of Health Management Education during a site visit. Additionally, after my year as a Chairman of Community Service, I was nominated and subsequently elected into the office of President for the Future Healthcare Executive.
